20 JULY 2009:  With a detachable scanning module, the AV50F sheet-fed scanner is a very neat and nifty device. Simply by docking the module into the base unit you create a 30-page auto document feed scanner which can process 15 pages / 30 images per minute in simplex/duplex mode.

Remove the scanning module from the dock and you have a small, lightweight and very portable sheet-fed scanner - take it wherever your work takes you. It simply plugs into your laptop via USB – no power cables required. 

Included with the scanner are PaperPort and Avision Button Manager - this software lets you scan at the touch of a button and convert papers into digital documents extremely easily, including searchable PDFs. You can also export the content from your scanned images into Word, Excel, etc. The scanner also comes with ISIS and Twain drivers.

A small, portable package that offers fast, high resolution scanning, the AV50F is ideal for capturing documents electronically on-site – making it an indispensable tool for consultants and auditors.
