Imaging Machines Corporation (Pty) Ltd trading as Avision Africa is the official distributor of Avision products in the following African countries: Botswana, Burundi, DRC, Kenya, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Imaging Machines Corporation is a fully-owned subsidiary of the First Coast Technologies group of companies.
Avision has been servicing the world market with its scanning technology since 1991. Headquartered in Hsinshu, Taiwan and with branch offices in the USA, Europe and China, Avision products are sold and supported on every continent. The company also supplies white-labelled components and technology to most of the major digital electronic brands on the market today.
Company history and capacity
Avision was founded in April 1991 by a group of engineers in Taiwan. We design, manufacture and market a complete range of top quality, high performance scanners as well as key components for all-in-one products. We have secured our position as a leading supplier in the scanner industry through innovative product development, strategic partnerships and successful business models.
Avision attained ISO-9001 certification in 1993 and ISO-14001 certification in early 2002. This accreditation further endorses our products as world class, guaranteeing quality and reliability.
Avision’s products range from A6 flatbed scanners for passports and ID cards, up to A3 high speed document feeder scanners. In response to strong demand from the market, we have increased our scanner production capacity to 300,000 per month and have also established factories outside Taiwan. We are committed to delivering complete customer satisfaction by continuing to provide high-performance and innovative products for our customers around the world.
